Happiness is often seen as an emotional state characterized by feelings of joy, satisfaction, contentment, and fulfillment.
While happiness has many different definitions, it is often described as involving positive emotions and life satisfaction. Happiness is generally linked to experiencing more positive feelings than negative ones.
So according to Wikipedia, it’s something like, being in joy or satisfaction or being in that state of flow.
But our modern-day philosopher Naval Ravikant has some different take on this.
Happiness Is A Choice
According to Naval, It’s a choice that we make, and it is not something that we inherently have it’s a skill that we can develop over time like fitness and nutrition.
Later he adds that a human mind is a predicting machine. It always predicts the future based on your past experiencing and always stresses about that only.
And for this naval puts this best, He said,
Don’t take yourself so seriously. You’re just a monkey with a

plan.
This is the major thing that most and majority humans are missing “being in that present moment“. It is like we don’t satisfy with what we have but only in the race of what we want.
Embracing The Present Moment
Happiness whats there when you remove the sense of something is missing in your life
Naval Ravikant
Naval said, that if we believe it’s a choice then we can start working on it. Happiness to me is mainly not suffering, not desiring, not thinking too much about the future or the past, really embracing the
present moment and the reality of what is, and the way it is. Being in the present and working and giving best on the present work will be the best thing which we can do.
Happiness is when you have a strong desire of wanting the things which you already have in your life
